Americans for Gun Safety provided over $1.5 million that helped pass historic ballot initiatives in Colorado and Oregon on November 7, 2000. By approving these initiatives, voters in Colorado and Oregon have closed a dangerous loophole in the law by requiring criminal background checks when guns are purchased at gun shows.
