Stop Playing Politics with Guns—Close the Gun Show Loophole

Americans for Gun Safety is launching a major ad campaign that aims to close the gun show loophole and strengthen enforcement of existing gun laws while respecting the rights of individuals to own guns and attend gun shows.

The television ad campaign says that "With Gun Rights Come Responsibilities," and demands that Washington close the gun show loophole and "Stop Playing Politics with Guns." The gun show loophole allows unlicensed dealers at gun shows to bypass the usual background check process and sell guns to buyers with no questions asked.
