Stan Matsunaka has worked across party lines to get common-sense protections for seniors on the books. Stan voted with a majority of legislators to pass SB01-078 and SB02-071, which Governor Owens signed into law.

Senate Bill 01-078 was a measure to institute nursing home reforms, and Senate Bill 02-071 was legislation to implement a consumer satisfaction survey that would hold nursing homes accountable to their residents (SB02-071).
