Stan Matsunaka was born in Akron and raised in Fort Morgan, small towns on Colorado's rural eastern plains. When Stan was eleven, his mom passed away, and Stan helped his dad to raise his four brothers while participating in church activities, Boy Scouts, and the Civil Air Patrol.

After graduating from Fort Morgan High and Colorado State University, he earned his law degree and served as a two-term State Senator. A fiscal conservative and social moderate, with a no-nonsense, bi-partisan style, he was elected by his peers to be the President of the Colorado Senate.

On November 5th, the voters of this fiscally conservative, socially moderate district will decide whether he will be their next Representative to Congress.
